Employers ApprenticeshipsThe course is aimed at people who are employed in a suitable industrial setting in a role such as a trainee Data Analyst collecting, organising and studying data to provide business insights.
This occupation is found in any employer in any sector that uses data to make business decisions. Data analysts may work in various departments within a single employer, (for example finance, sales, HR, manufacturing, or marketing), and in any employment sector, public or private, including retail, distribution, defence, banking, logistics, media, local government etc.
The broad purpose of the occupation is to ascertain how data can be used in order to answer questions and solve problems. Data analysis is a process of requirement-gathering, inspecting, cleansing, transforming and modelling data with the goal of discovering useful information, informing conclusions and supporting decision-making. Data analysis has multiple facets and approaches, encompassing diverse techniques under a variety of names. In today's world, data analysis plays a crucial role in making decisions more evidence-based and helping organisations operate more effectively.

An interview will be required to identify your potential, commitment and motivation to achieve the apprenticeship. We will also use the interview as an opportunity to discuss your employer. Depending on your level of English and Maths, you may be asked to complete an initial assessment to show your ability to complete a further level 2 qualification in English and / or Maths.

The majority of this apprenticeship will take place at the workplace. You will attend college one day per week on day release at our King's Lynn campus.
The College of West Anglia offers many opportunities to continue studying from entry level through to degrees. Some of the courses available for those who have successfully completed this course include:
You will build a portfolio of evidence and will be assessed in the workplace using a range of methods, for example written assignments, case study work, reflective accounts and practical observation etc. An Assessor will visit you in the workplace on a regular basis to support you.
Functional Skills tuition and examinations will take place at college various campuses depending on your location.
