Team Leading - Level 2 (Diploma)

The ILM Level 2 Diploma in Team Leading has been designed for Team Leaders who have some personal autonomy and responsibility, and who collaborate with others to deliver work. The Diploma gives learners the opportunity to develop the core competences needed by Team Leaders in the dynamic business world of today. There will be an initial meeting to discuss suitability of the qualification prior to enrolment. Although there are no formal entry requirements to the programme, the candidate should be literate and numerate and in a position to reflect on their practice and gather work-based evidence within a team leader/supervisor role.

How is my course assessed?

In most cases the learner can gain enough experience in the workplace to cover all elements of the course. A qualified Assessor will visit learners regularly at their place of work to offer direction, support and sign off activity when the standard has been achieved. There is a range of materials available to support ILM qualifications. Learners will also gather evidence of their work through guidance from the assessor and they may also require witness testimonies from their line manager or supervisor. In some cases more help may be required in the form of further training and this can be supplied as and when necessary. All learners gain free studying membership of ILM for one year, designed to help learners get the most from their course and advance their management career.
