Developing Skills for Employment - Level 2 - Part-Time

If you are looking for work, this level 2 course is designed to help you learn skills, make informed progression choices and rebuild self-esteem and confidence to help you become more employable.

  • Course Description

    This course will give you the opportunity to problem solve and identify improvements, address problems and perform routine tasks in the workplace, take responsibility and learn further customer service skills - all skills which will go far in helping you secure that dream job.

    Units may include:

    • Use Tools and Equipment for a Practical Activity
    • Handling Payment for Goods and Services
    • Customer Service Skills
    • Health and Safety in a Practical Environment
    • Developing Practical Skills and Techniques
    • Communicating in a Practical Environment
  • Course Length

    This course will run from 9:00am - 3pm each Thursday.

    Fee information

    If you are unemployed and claim an income-based state benefit or have a sole income of less than £17,004, you will be eligible for a full reduction in course fee - this course will be FREE! For more information and to confirm eligibility, please click here to complete our fee calculator.

    Learners with an active Education, Health & Care Plan

    If you are aged 19 - 24 at the start of your course and have an active Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP), any course up to and including level 3 will be fully-funded by the government. This means you will not have a course fee to pay and any equipment considered essential to complete your course will be provided by the college.
