Introduction to Accounting - Part-Time

This FREE course will give you the opportunity to develop your skills in using accounting software. It's a great entry point into using accounts, reports and recording transactions.

  • Course Description

    During this course, you will gain an understanding of the benefits and risks of using accounting software, including:

    • the benefits and features of accounting software over manual bookkeeping
    • the advantages and disadvantages of different types of accounting software
    • data security and protecting your software

    You'll also learn how to get started on an accounting software system, by setting up and amending existing accounts, recording transactions and producing relevant reports.

    What qualification will I achieve?

    There is no qualification for this course but all learners will receive a college certificate confirming completion. Successful applicants will be prioritised to progress to an AAT qualification (subject to confirmation) in the future.

    How is my course assessed?

    You must successfully complete a computer-based assessment at the end of your course to achieve the qualification.
