Whether you're new to the profession, want a refresher or just wish to understand how to work with those who have a life limiting illness, this course will help you develop knowledge and understanding of the principles of end of life care.

There are no specific entry requirements for this course but you may find it useful to have already achieved a level 2 in health and social care.
This course will run for four hours per week during the day / evening (day is to be confirmed, though Thursday is likely). One of our Principles of Care (Dementia or End of Life) will run in the evening whilst the other will run in the day. This is to be confirmed at the moment and may be decided based on interest / availability of applicants.
This course is eligible for the Lifetime Skills Guarantee, which means it will be fully funded if you do not already have a level 3 qualification or are on a low income. You can find more details on our fee calculator. If you are not eligible for the Lifetime Skills Guarantee, you can apply for an Advanced Learner Loan or pay for the course in 3 monthly installments.
Depending on your age, course, educational history and personal circumstances, there may be options available for you to receive a course fully-funded by the government. Our fee calculator will help give you an idea on whether you'll be able to have your course fee waived or covered by an Advanced Learner Loan.
If you are aged 19 - 24 at the start of your course and have an active Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP), any course up to and including level 3 will be fully-funded by the government. This means you will not have a course fee to pay and any equipment considered essential to complete your course will be provided by the college.

You will complete a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate your understanding of all the units.
