I had previously done my A-Levels at King Edward VII Academy (KES) sixth form. I always knew I wanted to enter teaching before completing my degree.
The reason why I chose to study at the University Centre West Anglia (UcWA) was because it islocal and I could continue with everyday life, as I was already employed by a school in King’s Lynn and had other responsibilities.
I really enjoyed studying both English Literature and History together as they were so different. I enjoyed dissecting poetry and enjoyed learning about people and places from the past. This degree allowed me to do both.
The memories that I have from my time atUcWA are nothing but fond. I made new friends and the staff there were all very supportive and encouraging.
After the completion of my degree, I then went onto my teacher training. I am currently half way through this. If I had not attained my degree, then I wouldn’t have been eligible to do this course.
My current employer is Churchill Park Academy. My job roleis as a full-time instructor (teacher training on the job). My job consists of teaching SEN children. I have my own class and all the responsibilities that go along with that.
