Your first day and induction session is on Thursday 7th September at 11am, finishing at 4pm. On arrival, please report to room U119, which is upstairs in the university centre. This is the only day which you are in during your induction week - teaching will start the following week.
What about the rest of my timetable?
You'll be at the university centre two days a week throughout the first year; Tuesday (8.45am - 3pm) and Wednesday (8:45am - 4pm). Your full timetable will appear on the student portal following your enrolment for the course (see below)
How do I complete my enrolment for the course?
We should have sent you an email with full details on how to access the student portal and complete your enrolment. If you're unsure, please give our enrolment team a call on 01553 815555.
You'll use our student portal to upload a photo of yourself and confirm your personal details.We'd love for you to come to the university centre on either the 21st or 22nd August to collect your ID card, lanyard and complete any outstanding paperwork. We'll send you details on how to book your slot after A-Level results day. When is my first day / induction?
Your welcome and induction session will start on Tuesday 5th September from 11am - 5pm. On arrival, pease report to room U014 in the University Centre (ground floor, down through the corridor in front of you and 2nd to last room on your left).
Those starting the BA Top-Up degree (the third year of the full degree) will have their induction on Wednesday 6th September from 9am (in room U014).
The welcome and induction afternoon will include a variety of activities and give you the opportunity to meet our student services team, course tutors and work placement coordinator. You will have the opportunity to view the university centre facilities and also have a tour of the library. It is important that you attend the induction session.
What about the rest of my timetable?
Your days of attendance for the first year of your course will be Tuesday (1pm - 6pm) and Thursday (1pm - 5.30pm). However, if you are BA student (as opposed to an FdA student), you will have a session starting at 11am each Tuesday to complete your graduate competencies.
What equipment do I need for my course?
You will need a pen and a notepad for your induction week.
