Working and studying from home doesn't have to be difficult. In fact, there are a great many benefits to working from home, that you might not have even considered. Read on for our top tips and benefits of studying from home. 

  1. Every day can be pyjama day! 

We wouldn’t recommend it (sticking to a routine of getting dressed and ready can help our mental health, not to mention hygiene!)but who willknow if you rock up in your PJs every now and then? Or amuse yourself by turning up in fancy dress and just not telling anyone!

2. You have more flexibility to learn at your own pace

Yes, you still have deadlines to meet and lessons to attend, but you can work through tasks as quickly or slowly as you need. 

3. You can choose a style of learning which suits you

You have a range of resources at your fingertips, so it’s up to you how to use them. Everyone’s different, so you can explore finding the methods which work for you.

4. You are in charge of your progress 

No more distractions in class, no one staring if you ask a question, no pressure to keep up with others... you are in control of how much you achieve.

5. You can develop digital skills to help you in your career

Remote working, knowledge of different systems, online communication – just some of the digital skills which will make you an asset to employers in a digital age.

Having a bad day? There’s no pressure to be social (unless you’re in an interactive lesson). But if you’re in need of company, you can contact staff and peers through LEARN, CWA Buzz, or by joining in our virtual clubs!

Make a list of all the soft skillsyou’re gaining by working remotely! Qualities like commitment, adaptability and initiative will look great on your CV and help you stand out to employers.
