EASTGATE VISIT 1NELSON VISITEASTGATE VISIT 2NELSON VISIT 2 Nearly 100 pupils from Eastgate Academy in King’s Lynn and Nelson Academy in Downham Market were given lots to do when they visited two neighbouring schools. It was organised under the umbrella of the College of West Anglia, part of the same academy. Over two days forty five pupils from each school enjoyed their factfinding trips to the King’s Lynn Campus and to one at Cambridge, also part of the CWA Academy Trust. Exercises were arranged to meet curriculum needs, particularly to bring Maths and English into everything the young people did. Students participated in a round robin of the different curriculum areas and were sorted into groups upon arrival. At King’s Lynn the pupils experienced media make-up/airdressing; Robotics – simple programming of Lego Robots; Forensic Science – Crime scene; Air Cabin Crew (Air Steward/ess). At Cambridge campus, the students took part in activities relating to Animal Care, Agriculture and Equine.
