Apprentice Scoops Mayor's Award
Level 3 health & social care apprentice Emma Smith recently won the Apprentice/Trainee of the Year award at the West Norfolk Mayor's Business Awards.
Emma is completing her apprenticeship with CWA whilst working for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT). She is a senior health care assistant providing patients with rehabilitative and palliative care.
Emma chose to study an apprenticeship as she wanted to gain more in-depth knowledge about her job and gain a recognised qualification while still earning a wage. She said: "Since starting my apprenticeship, I have grown in confidence; I would tell anyone thinking about completing an apprenticeship to go for it! It really is the best thing I have ever done."
On winning her award, she added: "The awards evening was lovely and I am overwhelmed to have won."
