Students in beach tag rugby challenge
Twelve students from the sports campus at the College of West Anglia were selected to play tag rugby at Great Yarmouth beach.
They competed against four other Norfolk colleges including Easton, City College, Great Yarmouth and East Norfolk in a mini tournament supported by the Rugby Football Union.
The students were selected by Sara Edwards, Sports Development Officer (College Sport Maker) at King’s Lynn because of their achievements throughout the academic year and also their willingness to volunteer at sports events.
The event was organised by College Sport Makers from each college with the intention of providing more sports activities for all students.
With the RFU present, the College of West Anglia students were able to discuss potential careers and also where they can play rugby locally.
The day was a huge success with more than 40 students taking part from all colleges.
With extremely high talent on show from all colleges, CWA finished amazingly well achieving 2nd, 3rd and 4th place, with Easton narrowly winning in the final with a golden try.
