Students rise to tough challenges
Uniformed Services students faced up to their final challenge near the end of the academic year.
Some 160 of them from campuses at King’s Lynn, Cambridge and Isle took part in Challenge Day in the grounds of Plaxtole House in Lynn.
And they were really put through their paces as students, divided into teams of eight, took on an assault course, “gun run” and tug-of-war.
And then there were team building challenges organised by the RAF’s motivational outreach team who were VIP visitors on the day.
And a special barbecue was prepared for the hardworking student teams.
Winners were the Lynn campus’s Second Year National Extended Diploma students.
They were presented with the shield by Supt Dennis Lacey, from King’s Lynn Police, one of a number of guests from public services.
Joining him was Petty Officer Simon Bland, from the Royal Navy; Jack Hayes, Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service, the college’s own Police Community Support Officer Ollie Gilder and Cpl Jones from the Royal Marines.
Also involved were the college’s head of faculty Andrew Gedge and programme manager Lee Mallott.
