Two on learning trip to Poland
Julie Darracott and Stacey Martin, staff in the hospitality section of the College of West Anglia, travelled some 863 miles to Poland for a fact-finding stay funded by ACER, Association of Colleges in the Eastern Region.
Their flight had gone to Rzeszow, two hours from their designation college at Zamosc, some 40km from Poland’s border with Ukraine.
They at first attended a mix of practical and theory lessons. Over the course of the week they observed a mixed selection of lessons, some of which were taught in English or included some English for our benefit.
The visit was organised by ACER to share good practice and build European links with other schools/colleges it is an ongoing project.
Stacey Martin, is a lecturer - Hospitality and travel and tourism at the College of West Anglia and Julie Darrocott is a teaching support officer in hospitality.
