Two unusual babies have been born on the outskirts of Cambridge. What is odd is that both are white, while their parents are black. But in this case they are albino rabbits in question. They were born at the small animals unit at the Cambridge campus of the College of West Anglia. Tracey Palmer, companion animal centre co-ordinator at the campus at Milton, said it had rehomed the two parents which had been found on the side of the road. Then it was discovered they were expecting. Tracey said: “As the babies developed and started growing hair I realised they were not getting any colour. “We waiting for the eyes to open and then realised they were both albino!! “As we do not know the history it is possible for there to have been a genetic throw back.” “As the babies developed and started growing hair I realised they were not getting any colour. “We waiting for the eyes to open and then realised they were both albino!! “As we do not know the history, it is possible for there to have been a genetic throw back.” White rabbits 1 Picture White rabbit : Tracey Palmer with the rare white rabbits
