(Centre manager, trainer, assessor & quality assurance)
In 2008 I completed my Apprenticeship at the College of West Anglia. Then in 2010 I decided to branch out on my own and went on to set up my own Gas Safe registered business, which operated in and around King’s Lynn and the local villages. After 10 years running my own business, I decided it was time for a change, so in 2020 I started my journey into the world of education at the College, 12 years after completing my apprenticeship there. I started off teaching the full-time plumbing courses which has given me a wide range of experiences. I then moved on to teaching apprentices before taking over the commercial courses.
I have worked in the domestic gas sector for the last 17 years specializing in servicing and repairing boilers, fires and cookers. I trained at the College of West Anglia, completing a Technical Certificate in Plumbing and NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing and Heating before going on to qualify as an OFTEC registered oil engineer and Gas Safe registered Engineer. I worked as an employed plumbing and heating engineer for several years before running my own business for 8 years. I currently enjoy working at the college teaching Plumbing and other related courses.
I have worked at the College of West Anglia since 2018, I have undertaken administrative tasks for Anglia Training Centre and the Technology department, I ran the CSCS online card scheme and then moved to the commercial department where I undertake the role for overseeing the Health and Safety course for NEBOSH and IOSH
