The first years are critical in a child's development. You will cover topics such as: child development, keeping children safe, positive environments, activities and play, food and nutrition and human growth and development.

So what can I study?


If you're interested in working with children or in the health and social care sector, this course is for you. It will develop your knowledge and awareness of health, social care and children's and young people's settings.


If you wish to enter employment at assistant level within the childcare sector or progress to a higher level of study or apprenticeship, this course is for you.


If you wish to enter the Childcare sector or study a higher education course in the Early Years field, this course is for you.


The CACHE Level 3 Technical Qualification in Education and Childcare prepares learners to become Early Years Educators, enabling them to work with children from birth to 5 years and gain knowledge of children aged 5 to 7 years. This is a two-year course that requires 750 placement hours and upon achievement of this qualification learners will be able to enter the workforce as Early Years Educators or access Higher Education
