The building industry is everywhere you go: housing, shopping centres, places of work, roads and bridges, hospitals and schools. From 'painting and decorating' plastered walls to installing 'plumbing', to the 'carpentry, joinery' and 'brickwork' that helped build them, there are a huge range of areas available in the building industry. There are careers in designing buildings, costing buildings, managing construction work and calculating their structures.

So what can I study?


If you want to progress in the construction industry as a plumber, this course is for you. The course offers introductory skills in a range of construction trades which include Bricklaying, Carpentry & Joinery and Plumbing.


If you want to work in the plumbing industry, and are not already employed by a plumbing company, this course will provide you with a solid foundation to kick-start your career.


Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technicians plan, select, install, service, commission and maintain all aspects of plumbing and heating systems.


Gas engineering involves the safe installation, commission, decommission and the ongoing service and repair of gas appliances in either a domestic or non-domestic setting.
