Our Applicant Welcome Days will give you a taste of college life, specifically for the course you’ve applied for.
What to bring to your Applicant Welcome Day
We are looking forward to welcoming you to College of West Anglia.
To help you feel prepared for the day, please bring the following with you:
Your essentials
- A notebook and pen
- A bottle of water
- The name of the course you have applied for
Depending on the course you have chosen, your day may involve some practical activity, please see specific details below for each campus.

King's Lynn Campus
King's Lynn Campus, Tennyson Avenue, King’s Lynn, Norfolk, PE30 2QW
Start time: 9:30am
Hairdressing/Beauty students only - clothing should be black trousers and top, with flat toe closed shoes.
Technology students only - Where required, we will provide overalls and steel toe-capped boots for you to wear during the day. Please feel free to bring your own if you have them.
Hospitality & Catering students only - clothing should be trousers/jeans (legs and feet need to be covered). Footwear should have non-slip soles and closed toes.
For all other courses not listed above, please dress appropriately for the weather, whilst also dressing appropriately for the college educational environment.
When you arrive at King’s Lynn campus, you will see signs directing you to the outdoor registration area. If you are being dropped off, you will see signage to the drop off point. Here you will be given a small bottle of water, a food voucher (that you can use in our on-site canteen) and an ice-cream voucher, but please bring your own food and drink also if you would prefer.
Lunch for all technology students will be 12:00-12.30 and all other course areas will be 12.30-13.30.
From here, you will be directed to where you will meet your tutor, who will then take you to your subject area.
The day will finish at 3.00pm. A-Level students will finish at 3.45pm.

Sports Campus and Public Protective Services Courses
Sports campus, Lynnsport, Greenpark Avenue, King’s Lynn, PE30 2NB
Start time: 9:30am
As your time will involve some practical activity, please wear sports kit and bring a drink with you.
When you arrive at the sports campus, you will see signs directing you to the student entrance, from where you will be directed to meet your course tutor.
You will be given a small bottle of water, a food voucher (that you can use in the Lynnsport cafe) and an ice-cream voucher, but please bring your own food and drink also if you would prefer.
Lunch will be 12:00-13:00.
When your day is over, at 3.00pm, your tutor will bring you back to where you started your day.

Wisbech Campus
Wisbech Campus, Ramnoth Road, Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, PE13 2JE
Start time: 9:30am
Hairdressing/Beauty students only - clothing should be black trousers and top, with flat toe closed shoes.

Animal care students only – clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty and sturdy footwear. Long hair should be tied back and where possible, no jewellery.
For all other courses not listed above, please dress appropriately for the weather, whilst also dressing appropriately for the college educational environment.
When you arrive at Wisbech campus, you will see signs directing you to the reception. If you are being dropped off, you will see signage to the car drop off point.
Here you will be given a small bottle of water, a food voucher (that you can use in our on-site canteen) and an ice-cream voucher, but please bring your own food and drink also if you would prefer.
Lunch for all technology students will be 12:00-12.30 and all other course areas will be 12.30-13.30.
From here, you will be directed to where you will meet your tutor, who will then take you to your subject area.
The day will finish at 3.00pm.

Cambridge Campus
Cambridge Campus, Landbeach Road, Milton, Cambridgeshire, CB24 6DB
Start time: 9:30am
As your time will involve some practical activity, please wear comfortable clothes and closed toe shoes.
Equine students only - clothing should be suitable for the equine yard, so plain dark trousers or jodhpurs (no blue jeans), sturdy boots (no trainers) and ideally bring a riding hat and gloves. Long hair will need to be tied back, and any jewellery will need to be removed before entering the yard.
Animal Care & Dog Grooming students only – clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty and sturdy footwear. Long hair should be tied back and where possible, no jewellery.
When you arrive at Cambridge campus, you will see signs directing you to the outdoor registration area. If you are being dropped off, you will see signage to the drop off point.
Here you will be given a small bottle of water, a food voucher (that you can use in our on-site canteen) and an ice-cream voucher, but please bring your own food and drink also if you would prefer.
Lunch will be 12:00-13:00.
From here, you will be directed to where you will meet your tutor, who will then take you to your subject area.
The day will finish at 3.00pm.

Inclusive Learning staff will be on hand to offer support outside the front entrance of the Tower Block and introduce you to your tutor for the day.
Here you will be given a small bottle of water, a food voucher (that you can use in our on-site canteen) and an ice-cream voucher, but please bring your own food and drink also if you would prefer.
The day will finish at 15:30 where staff will stay with you at the front of the Tower Block to be collected.
