Maintenance Operations Engineering Technician - Apprenticeship - Level 3
The apprentice will maintain the safety, integrity and effective operation of plant and equipment.

Course Description
The Technicians will undertake installation, testing, servicing, removal, replacement, maintenance and repair of a range of equipment, sometimes complex, as part of planned preventative and reactive maintenance programmes.
The apprentice will demonstrate skills and knowledge of the following to be able to meet the end point assessment criteria, as detailed in the assessment plan:
- Core Technical Knowledge
- Core Skills
- Core Behaviours

Entry Requirements
- 5 GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above, including maths at grade 5 or above, English and a science
Or
- A level 2 engineering qualification with English and maths at functional skills level 2

What qualification will I achieve?
After a period of foundation skills and technical knowledge development within a protected environment all apprentices will be required to achieve the following qualifications depending on the chosen specialism.
Completion of the Apprenticeship is designed to be recognised by relevant Professional Engineering Institutions at the appropriate level of professional registration.
How is my course assessed?
The end-point assessment has three distinct components:

Knowledge assessment (weighting 20%).

A final observation of practical work (weighting 40%)
- A technical interview, based upon an evidence portfolio which will include all evidence of practical observations, progress reviews and work activities (weighting 40%)
