Team Leader - Apprenticeship - Level 3
A team leader is found in organisations where there is a need for first-line management and support for teams and senior management. The broad purpose of this role is to provide leadership with operational and project responsibilities. Team leaders manage individuals, teams, or elements of a project, offering direction, instructions, and guidance to achieve set goals. They are vital for the smooth functioning of all departments within an organisation and are often responsible for ensuring that functions are correctly administered and maintained in line with legislation and the organisations procedures.

Course Description
On this apprenticeship, you will be able to provide direction, instructions and guidance to ensure the achievement of set goals.
Working in the private, public or third sector and in all sizes of organisation, specific responsibilities will vary, but the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed will be the same whatever the role.
Key responsibilities are likely to include:
- Supporting, managing and developing team members
- Managing projects, planning and monitoring workloads and resources
- Delivering operational plans
- Resolving problems
- Building relationships internally and externally.

Entry Requirements
You will need:
- GCSEs grade 4 in English and maths is preferable but not essential
- A suitable employer who is available to start you as an apprentice. Your job role should be at least 30 hours per week, although we can consider part time roles.
An interview and initial assessments will be carried out to determine suitability to work at this level. We will also use the interview as an opportunity to discuss your employer.

Flexible but you need an employer to commence the apprenticeship. ou will be required to attend monthly campus workshops to cover the knowledge aspects of your apprenticeship

How is my course assessed?
You will build an e-portfolio of evidence and will be assessed in the workplace using a range of methods, for example written assignments, case study work, reflective accounts and practical observation etc. An Assessor will visit you in the workplace on a regular basis in order to support you. The end point assessment is carried out by an independent and impartial assessor and includes: a presentation with questions and a professional discussion underpinned by a portfolio of evidence
