Business Improvement Techniques - Level 2 & Level 3 (NVQ Diploma)

The Level 2 training covers 9 units

• Applying continuous improvement techniques (Kaizen).L2
• Creating visual management systems.L2
• Carrying out problem solving activities. L2

Additional units if working towards L3.

• Creating flexible production & manpower systems. L3
• Applying flow process analysis. L3
• Leading effective teams. L3

Level 2 course is free (criteria applies) to companies with a minimum of 9 employers. If learners would like to continue to Level 3, costs would apply.

BIT Level 3 is available to any employee who is involved in improving the performance of the business at a team leader or supervisory role. The course is particularly suitable for production and semi-skilled workers within manufacturing and engineering organisations. However, the tools can be applied in any working environment from the shop floor to the distribution warehouse or office.

How is my course assessed?

The delivery is flexible and tailored to individual company requirements. There are two pathways to choose from, process or quality, consisting of 6 mandatory units and 3 optional units. To achieve the qualification, 20 hours underpinning knowledge and 3 improvement projects are required along side leading effective teams. The programme would be delivered by an accredited trainer/assessor on site who would assist with setting clear objectives, gathering evidence and implementing and applying identified continuous improvement projects through to completion.
