You will learn about the nature of English Built Heritage, its legal context and develop an appreciation of the need to protect English Built Heritage. You will be able to explain the historical framework of English Built Heritage and have a broad knowledge of the materials and techniques found in English Built Heritage. The programme will also inform you of the views of those already working within the Built Heritage sector.
What will be covered?
The programme is delivered through 4 on-line modules and an informal assessment consisting of 2 exercises.
- Module 1 covers a range of introductory topics
- Module 2 looks at architectural styles and periods
- Module 3 learn about commonly-used materials
- Module 4 develop and understand the need for teamwork in the industry including a series of recorded interviews with those already working in the built heritage sector
A series of monthly group tutorials will be held through Microsoft Teams, with individual tutorials as required
