This Level 2 Vocational Qualification builds on the basic techniques covered by CAD 1. It has been designed by the awarding body to meet the needs of CAD users, providing a modern and flexible qualification.

Course Description
The award aims to equip candidates with the basic understanding and principles of the 2D drawing environment, in terms of hardware, software and physical surroundings. The Level 2 Award consists of 6 learning outcomes. The candidate will be able to:
- use a CAD station safely
- use key components in 2D CAD software
- create lines and shapes relative to a co-ordinate system
- use text, hatch and simple dimensioning routines
- modify existing drawings
- output a 2D drawing layout
Delegates are provided with a set of course notes and practical exercises necessary for them to progress at their own pace. Course based on AutoCAD version 2016
Entry Requirements

A basic understanding of CAD will be advantageous for candidates intending to undertake this course of study. Delegates having completed CAD 1 will be ideally prepared for this course.
