Adults Employers Training for WorkThe IET Wiring Regulations BS 7671 is the definitive standard for the electrical industry in respect of safe design, use and operation of electrical equipment and systems. They set requirements and operating criteria for the UK and correspond to EC standards and are recognised by the British Standards Institute as a British Standard.
BS 7671:2018+A2:2022 Requirements for Electrical Installations IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition - Incorporating Amendment No.2, was issued 28th March 2022 and may be implemented immediately. BS7671:2018+A1:2020 remains current until 27th September 2022.

Course content:
There are no formal entry requirements for candidates undertaking this qualification. However, it is expected that candidates will have basic knowledge of electrical science and be working in the electrical contracting industry or in an allied trade.
The College of West Anglia offers many opportunities to continue studying from entry level through to degrees at University Centre West Anglia. Some of the courses available for those who have successfully completed this course include:
Level 3 Certificate in the Requirements for Electrical Installations City & Guilds 2382-22 18th Edition BS7671:2018 IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition. Note: City and Guilds 2382-22 exam based on BS7671:2018+A2:2022 at time of print
Delegates will require a copy of the IET Wiring Regulations BS 7671:2018+A2:2022 Including Amendment No.2 for the duration of the course and assessment. Candidates will be required to complete the City & Guilds 2382-22 multiple choice on-line assessment. This assessment is 2 hours in duration comprising of 60 questions. This is an open book assessment and candidates will be allowed to take in the following permitted reference material: IET Wiring Regulations BS 7671:2018+A2:2022. Candidates will also require a non-programmable calculator. The course is run 1 day per week over 3 weeks, with an additional 2 hour assessment.
