This brand-new hybrid course is designed to focus on both initial verification and periodic inspection, and condition reporting of electrical installations giving a faster route to qualification in all areas.

Course Description

This course is practically based with all aspects of the inspection and testing and certification process being covered in line with BS7671:2018 (incorporating all amendments) and IET guidance note 3. The level 3 award in Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations City & Guilds 2391-52, consists of 5 main learning outcomes. By the end of the course the candidate will be able to: Understand requirements for Inspection & Testing Understand safety management procedures when undertaking Inspection & Testing Understand the requirements for the inspection of Electrical Installations Understand the requirements for testing Electrical Installations Perform Inspection & Testing of Electrical Installations This course runs 1 day per week over 6 weeks, with an additional day allocated to the practical assessment to be confirmed whilst on the course.
Entry Requirements

We strongly recommend that before attending this course delegates have completed a period of study on the Requirements for Electrical Installations IET Wiring regulations 18th Edition, BS7671:2018 (incorporating all amendments). The City & Guilds 2382-22 certificate would be satisfactory evidence of such study. It would also be expected that candidates have a basic knowledge and understanding of electrical science and principles as well as experience of electrical installation work either within the electrical contracting industry or an allied trade.

How is my course assessed?

Delegates are required to have a copy of the following for the duration of the course: IET 18th Edition of the Wiring Regulations BS7671:2018 (incorporating all amendments) IET On-Site Guide IET Guidance Note 3 The assessment of this qualification is in three parts: Open Book Multiple choice - 60 questions (120 minutes) Written assessment. Practical Assignment
