NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety Distance Learning
The NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health is a nationally recognised qualification and is the most widely held health and safety qualification in the UK. Holders of the Certificate are entitled to Associate Membership AIOSH of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health IOSH. The qualification also meets the academic requirements for Technician Membership Tech IOSH of IOSH and Associate Membership AIIRSM of International Institute of Risk and Safety Management IIRSM.
This course is aimed at managers, supervisors and staff from all types of organisations who need a broad understanding of health and safety issues. Undertaking the certificate helps them to manage risks effectively. There are no entry requirements for this qualification, however it is important that learners have a suitable standard of English language in order to understand and articulate the concepts contained in the syllabus.

How is my course assessed?
Unit NG1 takes the form of an on-line open book examination and unit NG2 practical written assessment that is submitted on-line.
NEBOSH set examination dates for this qualification and we would expect delegates to enter for the examination dates that take place within about 6 months of enrolment, depending on when in the examinations cycle the enrolment takes place.
