Introduction to Carpentry - Part-Time

We will have all the tools, materials and ideas ready and waiting for you, or feel free to let the creative juices flow! Well start small working towards producing timber joints before producing your mini project to take home!

Try your hand at:

• Tool Identification
• Tool maintenance
• Fixing and fitting (to masonry & timber)
• Producing timber joints

Potential task ideas:

• Mini project
• Boot remover
• Bird boxes
• Planters

What will I need for this course?

• Steel toe cap boots (possible college loan, subject to size availability, please request when booking course)
• Safety glasses (college loan)

This course will run each Thursday evening from 6pm - 8pm for five weeks.

What qualification will I achieve?

You won't gain a qualification for studying this course but you will get an understanding of some of the basic skills involved in carpentry and joinery!
