Course Description
Modules include:
- Person centered practice in caring for older people
- Communicate with older people
- Identify and describe factors that affect communication in a healthcare setting.
- Fundamental care skills including key features of vital features, and how to describe them
- Learning how and when to use an epi pen
- Recognising the symptoms of a seizure
- Tissue and skin care including, preventing wounds and pressure sores and bandaging practical
- Neurological changes understanding signs of dementia
- Understanding the types of stroke
- Job applications, CV writing, interpersonal and interview skills
Entry Requirements
You will need:
- Live in Cambridgeshire or Peterborough
- Be unemployed (or employed with an interest in changing careers to work in the sector)
You will be invited to an interview to ensure that the bootcamp is the right course for you.

You should also be able to work in the UK and meet our general residency criteria.

You have to be aged 19+ at the start of the academic year (31st August) to study this course
