Adults Vocational CoursesAre you an adult and interested in training to work with animals? If so, now you can! Our new adult only Practical Animal Care course is one day per week and fits around school hours.
Mixture of practical and theory sessions each week working with a range of companion, large and exotic animals.

* Certain courses may have additional costs to cover trips or DBS checks, and for some courses you will be expected to purchase additional items such as uniform or equipment.
Though this course is free for those aged 16-18, there may be additional costs related to the programme, such as additional equipment and uniform, educational trips and work placement costs. Full details will be sent to applicants before enrolment.
If you are aged 19 - 23, you must have completed a full level 2 (or above) previously to study this course (unless you have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
If you're aged 19 - 23, this course will be fully funded (i.e. there are no course fees to pay) if you already have a full level 2 qualification (or higher) and:
If you already have a level 2 qualification (or higher) but do not meet the other criteria, you will be able to study the course for the above fee. It is worth noting that having 5 GCSEs at grade 4 and above is considered a full level 2.

Information on Fees and Financial Help
Depending on your age, course, educational history and personal circumstances, there may be options available for you to receive a course fully-funded by the government. Our fee calculator will help give you an idea on whether you'll be able to have your course fee waived or covered by an Advanced Learner Loan.
If you are aged 19 - 24 at the start of your course and have an active Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP), any course up to and including level 3 will be fully-funded by the government. This means you will not have a course fee to pay and any equipment considered essential to complete your course will be provided by the college.
ABC Level 2 Award in Animal Care Skills
This course is assessed via and assignments/assessments. You will build a portfolio of evidence as the course progresses.
