Our Pre-Access to Computing designed to provide mature (19+) learners with essential knowledge and skills that will support progression into a full Access to Higher Education course or employment within a range of disciplines related to computing.
This course, which will run one day a week, will also give learners the opportunity to enhance their maths and English skills. Learners will also have study skills (e.g. writing skills and spelling skills, critical thinking, research skills etc.) sessions to aid the transition of getting back into education.
Learners with an active Education, Health & Care Plan
If you are aged 19 - 24 at the start of your course and have an active Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP), any course up to and including level 3 will be fully-funded by the government. This means you will not have a course fee to pay and any equipment considered essential to complete your course will be provided by the college.
