I love baking and was looking for a course that would teach me a few extra tips and tricks and give me some experience of working in a professional kitchen. I chose this course as I work full time and have young kids, so a part-time course in the evenings was the perfect choice for me.
Given the challenges of the past year I’ve loved getting out of the house and meeting like-minded people! There has been lots of great advice from the course tutor and he’s always happy to help solve any problems we come across. I’m also loving the fact that we end up with boxes of sweet treats after every class!
For me, the reason behind choosing CWA over another provider was the location. I live pretty close to college and I liked the fact I could get there easily in the evenings. The timings and course content were also ideal and it was really easy to book online.
Everything at CWA has felt really professional. The kitchen we work in is really well set up and the tutor has been so friendly and helpful from the start. He really understands why many of us are doing the course and is full of great advice for how we can get the most out of our new skills.
Upon completing the course, I’m hoping to use my new skills whenever possible and may look to do another course if something similar comes up.
To anyone considering taking a part-time course, I’d say go for it! I was a little apprehensive as I haven’t been in a classroom for years, but I’ve loved every minute. I found it really good value for money too and it’s certainly helped me acquire some handy skills and knowledge.
