Course basket

Prior to starting my degree, I attended the evening Access to Humanities and Social Science course where I studied English, History and Psychology. On completion of this, I moved on to study a Psychosocial degree.

I did find returning to learning difficult, due to working and caring for a young child. However, I had great support from my tutors, family and friends. It doesn’t matter what age you are, you can achieve your goals if you put your mind to it. No matter what, there is help, support and guidance for everyone. I’d say return to learning, as this is the best thing you could ever do.

I decided to study at UcWA due to its location. It’s extremely handy to have the University Centre close to home, as I could carry on working and care for my child. If it was further afield, I would’ve never have had the opportunity to study a degree. I

also thoroughly enjoy attending the university as everyone is so inviting.

I very much enjoy every single part of my degree. I am so grateful for my tutors, who are so helpful. If you have a problem or don’t understand something, they are easily approachable.

In the future, after completing my degree, I hope to find a job within support work, I want to help woman and children who have been affected by domestic abuse and violence. I very much look forward to my future after UcWA.
