Charlie studied Level 2 Travel and Tourism at CWA. Prior to starting this course, Charlie wanted to work as a pilot or as a cabin crew member and chose to study at CWA as sixth form wasn’t for him. After looking at past results at the college, I decided to study here.

Charlie said, “The best memories I have from CWA are learning something new every day about somewhere different and just being able to learn in a friendly environment with a great tutor. My time at CWA enabled me to understand a lot more about the aviation and travel industry, which helped me get to where I am now. My job title is Cabin Crew at Jet2 and Jet Holidays.

Charlie’s role involves taking customers on their holidays, ensuring they enjoy a VIP experience, which is what Jet2 and Jet2 Holidays aspire to do for all customers -from greeting the customer at boarding to saying, “have a lovely holiday” on disembarkation, to “hope you have a lovely holiday, see you again soon”, along with all the bits in between, such as security searches, refreshment and food services. And of course, singing along to Jess Glynn when Charlie and his crew members are leaving the aircraft at the end of their flight!

Charlie will go on to the Jet2 pilot apprenticeship scheme.
