Course basket

I am currently studying Personal Training and Fitness Level 3. I chose this course as because it teaches me the skills and qualifications for me to be able to become a self-employed personal trainer or powerlifting coach.

I’m really enjoying the course, particularly learning about the physiology and anatomy of the body, as I have always found it fascinating to understand how the body works and how it is put back together. I also enjoy the nutrition unit as its also fascinating to understand how food fuels the body and how types of food have different roles within the body.

Initially, I chose to study at CWA because of the facilities that are available to the students, specifically free access to the gym. However, I wasn’t sure which course would be best for me. At an open day, concluded that personal training and fitness course was perfect for what I was looking for and it wasn’t offered anywhere else.

My dream career is to be a powerlifting coach. Once I have completed the course, I plan to get some personal training experience behind me, and then like to specialise as a powerlifting coach on a self-employed basis.
