Jack studied Carpentry Levels 2 and 3 at CWA, wanting to become the best carpenter he possibly could. His father had previously studied carpentry at CWA.
Jack said, “CWA opened the door to my competition career and got me involved in my first few competitions supporting me throughout. One of my fondest memories of studying at CWA, is representing the UK in WorldSkills in 2019 and winning gold. If it wasn’t for CWA I wouldn’t be where I am today with the carpentry competitions. I feel they helped me towards my dream of becoming the best carpenter I possibly can be.”
Jack works alongside his father for Peter Goodrum Ltd Carpentry and Joinery as a third-generation carpenter and assists with running the business. Alongside this, Jack works with SkillBuild CITB as a carpentry judge, travelling all over the UK, running regional competitions to find the best eight trainee carpenters to compete in the UK nationals.
