Neil studied an Electrotechnical engineering Level 3 apprenticeship in 1999, which he found enjoyable and kickstarted his career as an installation electrician.
He later returned as an adult learner completing a test and Inspection course which has allowed him progress within his professional career. He was initially apprehensive about returning to college, as he felt it had been too long since he had studied in a formal setting however, he found that the tutors were excellent at delivering the course in a relaxed but formal manner.
Neil said “Although I was content working as an installation electrician, choosing to return to formal learning has helped me achieve continued professional development.” Since completing the course Neil now serves as a NIC EIC Qualified Supervisor AMR Electrical Services and has progressed to the role of Contracts Manager.
