I think choosing a T Level in a sector of work you would like to go into in the future, is great, as you get to learn both theory and practical elements of a future career.
I have chosen Construction Level 3, as I would very much like to become an architect in the future and I believe this T Level is by far the best option for me. I also chose a T Level instead of A-Levels, as it is still a Level 3 course, but I get to dive deeper into what I would like to become in the future and get to go more into the construction side of each subject.
I believe T Levels are fast becoming the course to choose at college, as nearly all universities across the UK acknowledge the value of a T Level and are eager to except them. Choosing a T level will already give you a head start at a university, as if I went to university, I would already have a good base knowledge of the content taught in the first year. T levels are also very good to get into an apprenticeship, as you would already have work experience in a relevant job and be able to learn about the vocation in more detail.
I have loved my Construction Level 3 course so far, as all of my teachers are very welcoming and helpful. I believe I am learning so much already on my course and believe I have chosen the best path for me.
ACS was a very welcoming company allowing me to join their team to do my work experience as part of my course and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time there.
I think doing work experience in the sector you would like to have a job in, is a great way to learn the basics involved and everything that goes into it.
For me getting my work experience of 315 hours at an architecture firm, is a great way for me to experience what it is like as an architect. How different aspects of my course can be applied to my dream future career and what the day-to-day life is like in this job.
