Do you have a passion for wildlife and helping the environment? Want to blend your creativity with wildlife conversation and eco-friendliness? If so, build a home for nature's wonders!

This course will give you the skills to make a variety of stunning wooden havens for the wildlife in your back garden. You can make a bird house for all sorts of feathered friends, a handcrafted bat box for the local bats and not forgetting the adorable hedgehogs - a cosy hedgehog house for them to snuggle up in.

You will be using recycled timber, so you will be helping the environment twice over!

In week one you will be looking at tools & equipment and Health & Safety. Weeks two to six you will be working on your projects, bird boxes, bat boxes and hedgehog house.

This evening course will run at our Wisbech campus each Wednesday from 6pm to 9pm for six weeks, starting on Wednesday 18th September 2024.

What personal protective equipment will I need?

  • Steel toe cap boots (we may be able to lend these to you subject to size availability; we'll follow up with you after you book)
  • Safety glasses (loaned from the college)
