Higher education
Applying for one of our higher education degrees is easy - you can search us on UCAS to complete an application. You can find more details and all of our higher education courses here.
Adult courses
We have many courses which are exclusive to adults (19+). These include Access to Higher Education courses to prepare for university or a degree, Counselling programmes, Teaching Assistant courses and much more. However, adults can study the majority of vocational courses which we advertise with 16 - 18 year olds. What happens after I've applied?
Planning for your future and applying to college is an exciting time, but we know that it may also feel daunting. You may be applying to several education providers and it can sometimes be difficult to know what happens next, which is why we've made our admissions process as simple and easy as possible.
After you apply, you'll receive an acknowledgement email with instructions about how to access our student portal. Here you can manage your application, book to meet the tutor, update your personal information, review your offer and complete your enrolment.

Create a password and log in to the student portal
You will need to create a password before you can log in to the student portal. Follow the instructions in your acknowledgement email using the user ID we've sent you.
Once you've logged in, you'll be able to see your application and details about what you need to do next.
Application review
When we receive your application, our Admissions team will review it and check that the course and level you've applied for are appropriate based on your age, predicted or actual grades and intended career.
If we have any questions, or think another course or level may be more suitable for you, we'll get in touch to discuss this with you.
If you've told us about a medical condition, disability or learning difficulty, we may ask for some more information so that we can make sure the right support is available throughout your application and when you start college.
Meet your tutor
Once we've reviewed your application, we'll invite you to meet us and find out more about your chosen course.
This is an opportunity to meet the course team, learn more about what you'll study and ask any questions you may have. Depending on the course, this may include an information session, informal discussion, an interview or practical activity.
You'll be able to choose from the available dates through the student portal. Once you've booked, we'll send you more information about when to arrive, where to go and anything you need to bring.
Afterwards, we'll review your application and let you know the outcome.
Your offer
After you've attended the college and met your tutor, we'll review your application and confirm the outcome.
If you're offered a place, we'll send you a notification asking you to log in to the student portal, where you can review and accept your offer.
Your offer and the entry requirements for your course will remain available on the student portal so that you can refer back to them at any time.
Getting ready to start college
Once you've accepted your offer, we'll send you detailed information to help you prepare for starting college, including transport, course fees, financial support, equipment and anything else you'll need to know before September.
Most of this information is available from May before the start of your course. For example, applications for financial support and transport usually open around this time.
Enrol and start college
During the summer, we'll send you information about completing your enrolment and starting your course.
You'll complete your enrolment through the student portal and we'll let you know exactly what you need to do and when you need to do it.
We'll also send you details about your first day so that you know where to go and what to expect when you arrive.
Your student portal is where you'll manage your application, book to meet the tutor, review your offer and complete enrolment. Please make sure your personal details are kept up to date so that we can keep in contact with you.
