norfolk-mini The College of West Anglia (CWA) motorsport team has announced a new working relationship with Norfolk Cars Ltd, Mini Specialist, based in Tilney All Saints. Norfolk Cars have kindly donated a Mini Cooper S for the students’ next race build project, for entry into the 2017 Super Cooper Cup - BMW MINI R53 R50 Racing. Neal Clarke from Norfolk Cars has attended the college to talk to students about working in the industry and to meet the team that will be converting the road-going Mini into a race car. Team managers and college tutors John Paul Latham and Chris Middleton said they're “thrilled for this new opportunity” and look forward to sharing the build process with the new sponsors. Latham said: “The CWA race team couldn't be happier about this new partnership, which together with sponsors such as Engineering Factory Supplies Ltd, DEWALT, Miganglia, Wisbech Round Table and Kett Autopaints Ltd will go far to making this another successful project for the students.” Neal Clarke, company director of Norfolk Cars Ltd, said: “Our relationship with CWA started on the race track a few years ago, competing against each other in our Mini’s! “The college team helped us out when our Mini was involved in a race incident. Since then we have always maintained close contact, both on and off the track! With our expert knowledge of Mini’s and enjoyment for the sport, it only felt natural that we work together and support each other going forward.”
