Students at the College of West Anglia’s King’s Lynn campus welcomed Impact investing Leader Sudha Bharadia for a special International Women’s Day lecture. At this event, she spoke about leadership, purpose and creating positive change through business and finance. Sudha is the Founder and CEO of Impact Cap, a third-party marketing and capital-raising firm focused on the impact investment sector.

During her visit, Sudha met with students to share insights from her career and discuss how values-led leadership, confidence and resilience can help shape both personal and professional success. Her session allowed learners to hear directly from a senior figure working in impact investing, a field focused on generating both financial returns and positive social outcomes.

With more than twenty years of international experience across asset management, private banking and fund management, Sudha has built a career around connecting capital with meaningful change.

Speaking after the event, Sudha said, “International Women’s Day is an important opportunity to encourage the next generation to lead with confidence, purpose and integrity. It was a privilege to meet students at the College of West Anglia and to share my journey, particularly how business and finance can be used not just for profit but to create meaningful and lasting change in the world.”

Gemma Doughty, Special Projects at College of West Anglia  said "We immediately realised when meeting Sudha how inspirational she is and having her as an enrichment talk for the LRC’s International Women’s month programme of events. The students thoroughly enjoyed learning about the challenges she’s overcome. Understanding how she dealt with being in a stereotypically male-dominated career path, when she first started her career and why she is passionate about grabbing opportunities has given the students and us a lot to think about.”

The visit formed part of the College’s recognition of International Women’s Month and gave students the chance to engage with an accomplished female leader whose career has challenged traditional perceptions of finance.

By welcoming speakers such as Sudha to campus, CWA continues to give students access to inspiring voices from the industry, helping them connect their studies to wider career possibilities while marking important global awareness days in a meaningful and relevant way.
