The Cambrdge Campus of the College of West Anglia has scored an important first. For the first time it received a highly commended status in the bi-annual unannounced British Horse Society approvals inspection. It is dubbed the Ofsted for Horses and shows it provides good facilities, customer care, teaching, instruction and coaching. The award brought praise for everyone involved from Alison Barber, head of faculty for landbased studies. She made special mention of Jade Rouchy, interim yard co-ordinator and her team and Vicki Taylor, equine activities organiser, who showed the inspector around. And Alison added: “Thanks also Linda Kirby to you and your team, and to you John Nancollis, for supporting the resource area.” “This is a fantastic result,” said Arlene Clark, executive director curriculum and learning.
