Students and staff at Providence Street out centre had the opportunity to learn about Chinese traditions and customs. Members of the West Norfolk District Chinese Association spent the afternoon teaching students how to write their names using traditional methods and gave a demonstration of Chinese martial arts. Staff and students completed the “impossible” challenge of picking up and holding a marble using chopsticks and were rewarded a fortune cookie for trying. Students said that the highlight of the afternoon was the Lion Dance accompanied by a drum.
