Students and staff from the College of West Anglia’s (CWA’s) Sports Campus came together with families and friends to celebrate their outstanding sporting and academic achievements from throughout the year.
Programme Manager for Sport & Public Protective Services Sean McQuaid, hosted the evening, which saw over 30 award-winners crowned on the night in a number of categories, from individual sports recognition to overall team of the year, across a wide range of disciplines, including football, basketball, wakeboarding and powerlifting.
Former student, Harry Bland, joined the faculty’s Hall of Fame. Harry studied Sports Development and Coaching at CWA and now works at the FA National Youth Council and holds the position of Norfolk FA Youth Council Chairman.
Sean McQuaid reflected over another successful year, he said: “The sports awards are a great opportunity to share the success of students with their families and friends. We have once again had a great year of remarkable achievements both in the classroom and in the world of competitive sport. I am proud to represent the department and the staff and students that have had a great year.”
