The College of West Anglia’s King’s Lynn campus held a Technology Fair, in which 35 local companies visited campus to highlight career opportunities for students. Companies included Anglian Water, the Royal Navy and MACE met with students, discussing apprenticeship programs, internships, and future careers available through studies at CWA. The event allowed students to engage directly with industry professionals, gaining insights into the skills needed in today’s technology and construction landscape. Company representatives highlighted careers available and provided students with insight into the real day-to-day of Technology roles. The Technology Fair is part of CWA’s commitment to building strong industry partnerships, bridging the gap between education and employment by fostering these connections, CWA ensures that students are prepared for meaningful careers while also supporting the local community and industry. Workplace Placement and Careers Coordinator, Lyanne Clayton explained ‘This is our third year of holding the Technology Career Fair and it has only improved year on year. Without the support of our amazing and local companies it would not be the success it has become. We cannot thank them enough for the continued support they give to the college and more importantly the students, not only on days like today but with work experience placements, site visits, coming in to speak to the students, conducting mock interviews and much more. This gives our students the chance to engage with local employers, which inspires them to follow their career aspirations.’ Any employers interested in attending any future events, please contact
