College sponsors new education awards
The college was one of the main sponsors of the first-ever Lynn News Education Awards, organised by the Lynn News at Lynnsport.
Mark Reavell, partnership and estates executive director, presented the School of the Year to staff and pupil of the Howard Junior School in King’s Lynn.
There were three shortlisted schools with King’s Lynn Academy and Downham Market Academy, both ironically sponsored the College of West Anglia, as the other two. Both received runner-up awards.
Howard School’s headteacher Gregory Hill said: “I would like to say a big thankyou to the parents, school and staff who are very supportive.
“Our pupils are hardworking and dedicated and credit for this award goes to them.”
Other awards included Headtacher of the Year, most inspirational teacher, most improved student and outstanding sporting achievement, primary class of the year, secondary school class of the year, best support for pupils with special needs and best support staff award.
