IMG_7143 The switched-on College of West Anglia has installed charging points at each of its three campuses to help staff and students with electric cars keep their vehicles topped up. These are for use by all staff and students only as part of the college's ongoing efforts to promote and enable sustainable modes of transport. At the King's Lynn Campus on Friday the college got together with a main garage to promote the new facility. It will also have points at the campuses at Isle (Wisbech) and Milton (Cambridge. On show was a Nissan Leaf car and a Renault Zoe provided by Wests of King's Lynn so that people could have a look at some electric vehicles (EVs), ask questions and even take one for a test drive. To encourage uptake of EVs the college will be offering the first year charging completely free! The charging point locations are: Kings Lynn: Adjacent to Applewood Nursery Isle: Front Car Park by Motorcycle Parking Milton: Visitor Parking Area   Picture: Power on: Jack Caldwell, Environment Office at the College of West Anglia, right, with a representative of Wests, Daniel Cuthill, at the new charging point for electric vehicles for staff and students at King's Lynn.
