David Pomfret, College of West Anglia (CWA) Principal has recently been appointed to the Principals Reference Group at the Department for Education (DfE).

The group is made up of serving college principals and supports the Further Education (FE) Commissioner in improving performance in FE colleges and contributes to policy development within the FE sector.

David said, “I am delighted with my recent appointment. I regularly work with the Association of Colleges and other principals to challenge and inform government policy.  Membership of this group will give me more of a voice to raise the issues that most affect staff and students and hopefully influence policy.”

Membership includes the Further Education Commissioner and 8 serving chief executive principals, who are appointed for a two-year period.
