CWA’s environmental achievements have been featured on a key sector environmental website and social media for May.
The College was asked to write an article for the monthly Member Spotlight, which will be featured on the Environmental Association for Universities and Colleges (EAUC) homepage and FE e-newsletter, Twitter feeds and LinkedIn for the month of May. The EAUC is the sustainability champion for universities and colleges in the UK and its aim is to drive sustainability to the heart of further and higher education.
At the College of West Anglia we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and aim to set an example of responsible environmental management. We are building on the college’s first ambitious carbon reduction target of 30% by 2014/15, including investing in solar PV, an electric car and LED lighting.
Katherine Middleton, Energy and Environment Officer said: “I’m delighted that the EAUC has asked us to be Member Spotlight for May. It’s a great way for us to showcase our achievements so far and will act as impetus for College staff and students to work together to become even greener.”
