Hair and Beauty students from the King's Lynn campus showcased their incredible skills at the recent competition held at Sandwell College, achieving fantastic results in a tough competition. As a result, they earned their spots at the national finals in Blackpool, which will take place on
Students Sandy Esquel and Hollie Warner impressed the judges with their creativity, securing third place in the ‘Moulin Rouge: Create an Image’ category. Their bold and artistic interpretation of the theme demonstrated their talent and attention to detail.
Meanwhile, Maddie Lough took first place in the Commercial Feminine Cut and Blow Dry category.
Maddie said ‘I enjoyed the experience, it was a great event. I felt it boosted my confidence and pushed me to my potential. The college helped so much in organising everything, so the day went smoothly. During the competition, I was excited, and my execution went exactly as I had wanted. The college encouraged me to participate in the competition, and I am so glad I did. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would push any student hairdresser to one hundred percent go for it!’
Hair and Beauty Lecturer, Samantha Hall said, ‘ I would encourage any student to embrace the opportunity of a competition, as you may just surprise yourself. Our students did a fantastic job achieving first and third place!’
